It was in 2009 that Kathy Létourneau and Mathieu Gourdes-Vachon planted their first apple trees in Saint-Pierre-de-Broughton. Wishing to combine fruit cultivation with honey production, the couple also set up beehives on their land so that bees could pollinate the fruit trees. The operation was a success!
