Several trails, totaling 6 km, evoke mountain trekking and lead to the summit where observation towers allow you to admire the landscape. Rest areas, interpretation, star observation and wilderness camping are also provided.
Climbing enthusiasts will be delighted! Several circuits have been set up to encourage the practice of this sport. We invite you to contact the Fédération québécoise de la montagne et de l'escalade (FQME) since this is an activity that must be supervised by beginners.
Free flight enthusiasts will find at Mont Grand Morne one of the most beautiful departure platforms. Under the patronage of the Thetford Mines Free Flight Club, amateurs will find easy access and the possibility of flying for tens of kilometers.
The mountain is located in the Municipality of Sainte-Clotilde-de-Beauce offering several services and attractions including a covered bridge and an ancient dam.

On a beautiful day with colleagues, after exploring the beauty of autumn landscapes in the Beauce region, we headed for Mont Grand Morne in Sainte-Clotilde in the Thetford region.

Beginning of September, my boyfriend and I set off on the roads of Chaudière-Appalaches. Let's go to Thetford Mines to discover its mining history and its many activities. Although the temperature was not on our side, the fun and love of discoveries were fully there. Impossible to see everything in two days!

Hiking is my favorite activity. I am fortunate to have such a choice of walking sites in the Thetford area. And my favorite thing is hiking in the mountains! This type of hike is interesting as it allows additional energy expenditure while offering a deserved reward at the top: a view of the region, often in 360 °, always magnificent. Mountains, lakes, valleys, wind turbines, agricultural and forest landscapes, urban agglomerations and mining dumps are to be seen from the summits of the Thetford region. With autumn approaching and temperatures that invite you to play outside, I am bringing you a series of articles on the mountains to walk in the Thetford region.
