Situated in a valley teeming with waterways, the Municipalité d'Irlande is the ideal location for water activities such as canoeing and kayaking. Two launching points reserved for non-motorized boats are accessible to all:
1. Access to the Rivière aux Pins: It is possible to put your boat in the water near the Pont aux Chevilles (bridge) on Bennett Road, in order to navigate the meanders of the Rivière aux Pins to the Bécancour River. There is only one portage to do at the dike of Stater Pond.
2. Access to the Bécancour River at Amos Hall Park, at the intersection of Craig Road and Dinning Road: This launching point offers privileged access to canoeists wishing to go to Lake William or to Lac à la Trout.
* During low water periods, some passages may require portages.
